Roti.Ventures

A venture studio for niche digital businesses · Poland

We build, buy and back niche digital businesses.

Roti is not a fund. It is a venture studio focused on niche digital businesses. We start companies with evidence before conviction, buy niche businesses we can run better, and earn stakes in other founders’ companies by doing the product work ourselves.

01 · What we believe

Most products fail because conviction outran evidence.

Niche businesses built on evidence compound. And the scarcest capital in any of them is a good operator’s time.

01

Evidence before conviction

Opinions are cheap. Every Roti venture starts with research and a mapped opportunity, and earns the right to be built by passing a test with real customers.

02

Short loops, hard gates

Four weeks to show demand. Six months to first revenue. Twelve months to a product-market-fit signal. Anything that misses a gate is stopped, sold or handed on.

03

Time is the capital

We are operators, not allocators. Hours are what we invest, so every bet in the portfolio carries a score: expected value divided by the hours it will take from us.

02 · How Roti is put together

One engine, three arms.

ProductTrio’s fees pay every bill and stay cash-only. They fund three kinds of ownership, which differ only in how much we own — and how it was earned.

Roti is not a fund. It is a venture studio that pays its own bills — which is why we can afford to be paid mostly in equity, and why we are careful about whose.

03 · How we work

Research. Opportunities. Testing. Iteration. Repeat.

R RESEARCH O OPPORTUNITIES T TESTING I ITERATION the build loop = return on time invested

The same loop runs every venture we build, every business we buy and every founder we back. It is what the name spells. Read the full ROTI framework →

01 / 04

Research

Customer interviews, market research, a sharp problem statement. The phase most people skip, and the one that decides everything after it.

02 / 04

Opportunities

Opportunity mapping: which gaps are worth a bet, for whom, what to build next — and what to stop.

03 / 04

Testing

Assumption tests, prototypes, paid pilots. We measure before we build anything for real.

04 / 04

Iteration

Learn, adapt, improve on real signals. Then back to research. The loop is a cycle, not a funnel.

04 · Gates

Numbers, not feelings, decide what continues.

The gates apply to our ventures and to yours. They are early and blunt on purpose: the most expensive thing either of us can do is keep working on something that has already said no.

Week 4

Evidence of demand

A waitlist, letters of intent or a paid pilot — or we stop.

Month 6

First revenue

Real money from real customers — or we stop.

Month 12

A PMF signal

Retention and growth you can point at — or we sell, spin out or shut down.

05 · Portfolio

Small, real, and counted.

We prefer numbers we can defend to logos we can borrow. One figure per asset, and where it sits in the loop.

In build Build

FlagRoster

5v5 flag football, team & roster management

Team management for a sport we play. Our current build; first paying teams are the month-six gate.

In testing Build

PMFTracker

T hypothesis under test with PMF Programme cohorts

The product version of the PMF programme ProductTrio runs. Promoted to build only when the hypothesis lands.

Operating Build

BoiskaWPolsce.pl

19,000+ sports pitches across Poland

Live, local, transactional-intent data. Being moved from display ads to bookings, listings and partnerships.

Operating Build

PsiSpacer.pl

12,000+ dog-friendly places in Poland

A directory that becomes uncopyable through reviews, photos and a dog-owner community. Roti, the dog, approves.

Operating Build

CastlesToVisit.com

65,000 castles in 47 countries

Being rebuilt from a list into a trip-planning tool: routes, opening data, tickets — the parts an AI answer cannot give you.

Back · founders we work withWe helped the FOUND and elyps founders go from 0 to 1. It is the same work the Back programme does today, for a stake.Full portfolio →

06 · For founders

We earn our stake by doing the work.

If you have shipped a first product and are missing the product process to find product-market fit, we run a 12-week discovery-to-PMF programme with you. A small stake, a discounted retainer, and terms that are public because that is how we would want to be treated.

01

The programme, run by us with you

12 weeks of discovery-to-PMF work — the same loop we run on our own companies.

02

Weekly working sessions

Interviews designed and synthesised, tests run, decisions made together. Slides don’t ship.

03

Someone who has done this before

Olek took FOUND from idea to product-market fit, cut onboarding dropout at elyps by 30% and grew UX Pilot’s MRR by 50%. ProductTrio has trained 300+ startups.

04

We stay after week 12. A stake means we answer the phone in month 9.

07 · The name

Named after a labradoodle.

Roti is our dog, named after the flatbread during the time we worked remotely from Asia. It also happens to spell out how we build and how we invest. All three are true.

The origin

Roti, the flatbread

Daily bread, made by hand, every day — which turned out to be a fair description of how niche businesses get built.

The method

Research · Opportunities · Testing · Iteration

The loop every venture we build, buy or back runs on. Cyclical, not linear.

The rule

Return On Time Invested

Hours are the scarce capital of an operator. Every bet gets a ROTI score, and the score decides where our time goes.
